Gareth had all these subtle details to his character such as the tape around his thumbs from constant use of his hands. This was important to capture for visually learning about his character.
We lit this with a single practical and one quasar. But we used our limitations of resources as an advantage to create a grittier mood.

That day, Gareth closed his eyes and thought of all that he had accomplished and what goals he still had left. Life suddenly seemed finite to him. He felt compelled to accomplish a long time dream of his. And it was not to just own a motorcycle, but to bring one back to life.
